When news broke of the Coachella organizers throwing a festival in NYC, the feelings were mixed. For starters, it directly competes with Governors Ball, New York City’s independent and pinnacle festival. On the other hand, who could be mad at a killer, three-day party in their backyard? The rumors have been swirling around until just now, when Panorama dropped their inaugural lineup.
Arcade Fire, Kendrick Lamar, and LCD Soundsystem headline Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night respectively. Friday’s undercard is strong with Alabama Shakes, ScHoolboy Q, Netsky, Pres Hall Jazz Band, Madlib (!), Silversun Pickups, and many more. Saturday sees indie heavyweights Sufjan Stevens and The National packed in with the likes of Blood Orange, Foals, Kaytranada, and Anderson .Paak. Sunday will round it out with A$AP Rocky, Kurt Vile, Run The Jewels, SZA, Tensnake, and more.
Tickets go on sale this Friday at noon.
