Floating Points is currently touring with an incredible ensemble in support of last years Elaenia. The record was acclaimed for melting modern electronic music with compositional nods from jazz and classical. The result was dynamite, even earning it a spot on our list of 2015’s best records.
Next week, Floating Points’ live tour comes to New York City for shows at Bowery Ballroom and Music Hall of Williamsburg. Following the latter, Sam Shepherd (aka Floating Points) will head just up the road to Good Room, where he’ll DJ into the morning. It’s a rare talent to head an ensemble that is as impressive as the Floating Points live band, but to then play selector just hours later is truly unique.
Tickets for the Bowery Ballroom and Music Hall of Williamsburg shows are sold out, but tickets for the Good Room show are available here. Tickets for the sold out shows are also available on the secondary market.
