The String Cheese Incident prepares return to The Capitol Theatre

As The String Cheese Incident continues to roll out new music and tour dates to celebrate their 25th anniversary, we have our eyes set on their run at The Capitol Theatre coming Memorial Day weekend.

The String Cheese Incident rang in 2018 at The Capitol Theatre, the wonderful rock palace located just north of New York City. Before that, they played two stunning shows in 2014 that would cement the bond between the band and the venue that Jerry Garcia once deemed ‘pretty groovy all around for music’. Since the theatre reopened in 2012, it’s played host to virtually every jam-band and classic rock mainstay, earning a reputation as one of the last great theaters truly dedicated to the legacy of rock ‘n’ roll.

It’s special whenever a jam band graces The Capitol Theatre’s stage, and The String Cheese Incident is no different. On November 11 2014, they covered “Shakedown Street”. On the next night, they repeatedly took songs over the 10 minute mark. When they returned in 2017, the shows were just as white-hot. Check some of them out below…
