Umphrey’s McGee are set to play two shows this weekend at the legendary Beacon Theatre in Manhattan. Joining them is jazz saxophonist Joshua Redman, who actually played with Umphrey’s when we caught them during our Colorado 2014 NYE run.
Redman brings a pretty crazy vibe to the 6-piece jam titans. That show got pretty spacey, really weird, and far out there. Need proof? Check out a firemost “1348” from that gig [embedded below].
The shows this weekend should be along the same lines. Saturday is already sold out, but a few tickets remain for Friday’s show. Don’t sleep on those…we’ll see you there!
