Verboten StageONE Bringing Killer Lineups Outdoors in Brooklyn

Verboten-Stageone

Verboten may be best known as a top-ranked club in the north Williamsburg part of Brooklyn, but this summer they will continue to expand their brand with a trio of one-day outdoor festivals with huge lineups. Located at 50 Kent, StageONE allows New Yorkers to make the most of the warm weather and dance all day long with a stellar view of the city. The best part though, undoubtably, are the DJs and producers who will play the soundtrack for these special events.

On August 23rd, Jamie XX will continue his summer of dominance on the East River shore. Hot off performances at Glastonbury, Pitchfork Festival, and many more, he is supporting his new album In Colour by playing a mix of vintage, funky vinyl and his own productions. Maya Jane Coles isn’t someone who needs to play support very often, but she’ll be alongside Jamie to provide some more smooth grooves in the evening. If that isn’t enough, Matador will bring his techy style to warm things up.

On September 6th, there is an insane quadruple bill taking place. Techno royalty Maceo Plex will be joined by DJ Tennis, David August (who will be performing a live set), and DJ Koze (who just released this versatile DJ-Kicks mix).

Finally, on September 19th, there will be a Detroit Loves SUBVERSIONS party. What that means – I’m not entirely sure, but I know Carl Craig is presenting something called Modular Pursuits, which is going to be insane. Audion and Gaiser will bring their critically acclaimed live sets to the party; Magda and Moodymann will DJ, equating to a serious all-day frenzy of uber-talented DJ/producers who are capable of playing anything from hard techno to soulful, melodic 115 bpm house.
