Art Basel begins this week in Miami and is creating quite the buzz per usual. There is something for every area of the arts during Basel week. I prefer to stick to the musical arts all week. I definitely do my share of browsing through art galleries and sampling free alcohol but the music is what really hypes me up for Art Basel. It’s a week long festival pretty much. It can be at least if you set it up properly. Here are my top 5 anticipated events for Art Basel. One event for each day; Tuesday through Saturday. You can bet I will be at all five of them.
1. TUESDAY – Chromeo DJ Set at Bardot
2. WEDNESDAY – Martin Buttrich & Pete Tong @ Trade
3. THURSDAY – Life and Death Showcase @ Grand Central (Dixon, Bob Moses, DJ Tennis, Thugfucker, and more!)
4. FRIDAY – Kaytranada on the E11VEN rooftop starting at 2am. Free & hosted by Red Bull
5. SATURDAY – SBTRKT Live & A$AP Ferg @ YoungArts Foundation
BONUS: Nosaj Thing playing free after hours party Saturday on the E11VEN rooftop. Starts at 2am
