We are now under a month until the Spirit of Suwannee Music Park hosts Florida’s funkiest festival. The 2012 Bear Creek Music & Art Festival will run from November 8-11 in Live Oak and boasts an incredible line up. Double sets by Dumpstaphunk, the Heavy Pets, Lettuce, Zach Deputy and Umphrey’s Mcgee are totally intriguing. If that isn’t enough add the Royal Family Affair (Lettuce, Break Science, Soulive, Nigel Hall), Zoogma, Lotus, the New Mastersounds and many more for a funky fun time.
Bear Creek is unlike any other festival out there and is widely acclaimed as “one of the best” by veteran fest-goers. The cool Florida November provides a stark contrast from the heated tents of Bonnaroo, Electric Forest or Wakarusa. The funk and jazz oriented line-up is a nice switch up from the EDM conquered major festivals of 2012. In short: we couldn’t be more excited.
