Umphrey’s is one of those bands you can count on to rock your socks off every time you see them live. Their technical shredding is matched by few. Currently Umphrey’s is touring Florida with J Roddy Walston and The Business as the opening act. J Roddy got the evening started with some passionate rock and roll and hair whipping.
Umph played two fun sets in Miami Beach last night. The jamming seemed a little more controlled and less spastic last night which was a turn on for me personally. They had some really funky low key bass heavy jams that made the sets really flow well. Miami local, Roosevelt Collier, came out to shred with the band during the 1st set. He also played an after party next door following the show with Bobby Lee Rogers. Long story short, Umphrey’s really knows how to throw a party and show out for their fans. Tonight they close out their Florida run in St. Pete.
