Both projects involving Rob Swire and Gareth McGrillen, Pendulum and Knife Party, will release new albums within the next year. Swire spilled the beans on Twitter account in a series of Tweets posted below.
Possibly due to an onslaught of tweets from diehard Pendulum fans, Swire was quick to subdue rumors that the band would play a live set again, leaving open the option of maybe a Swire/McGrillen DJ set run of shows, or maybe simply just a new album of drum and bass music to show for it.
I’m really looking forward to both of these efforts, not so I can line ‘em up and break ‘em apart, starting a Feed Me vs. Spor-like fight of which is better, but because just about anything these guys touch turns into quality music. And as Knife Party’s Haunted House EP displayed in its favoriting uptempo electro thumpers and sacrificing the dubbier side of beats, they’re willing to experiment.
Speculations and anticipations will run wild to see how they choose to support the Pendulum album, but the d’n’b trollers of the Internet can rest a little easier knowing Rob Swire and Gareth McGrillen intend to put out an album satisfying their preference very soon.
