SHOW REVIEW: Metric Rocks Hammerstein Ballroom [NYC]

160311_metric_06

15 years as a band and Metric just seems to be getting better and better with age.

Metric performed at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City during their  “I Can See The End” Tour in support of their newest album, Pagans in Vegas.

Lead singer Emily Haines had everyone swooning and dancing with her energy and her amazing female rocker spirit.

The entire show was a tribute to their amazing career, ranging from songs through out their entire discography. I semi lost it when they sang their Fantasies “Twilight Galaxy” and sang a long with teenage angst when Emily Haines gave us an acapella version of Combat Baby from their first studio album Old World Undergroumd, Where Are You Now?

It truly was a beautiful night, and seeing them perform gave me butterflies in my stomach. Their music that I listened to in my bedroom in high school transported me back to those good ole days and even seeing them perform their new songs like “Cascades” and “The Shade” made me feel like a proud fan.

Metric has concluded their U.S tour but will be touring Canada in the upcoming months. If you EVER have a chance to check out Metric, do it.
