The tracklisting for The Flaming Lips upcoming cover album of The Beatle’s Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band has just been released and it is CRAZY. With A Little Help From My Fwends has a lot of help from some friends, including Moby, Dr. Dog, My Morning Jacket, MGMT, Tegan & Sara, Phantogram, Grace Potter and EVEN MORE.
The Flaming Lips and Miley Cyrus already showcased “Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds” at this years Billboard Music Awards. Surprisingly, I really enjoyed it. As a huge Beatles fan, I am not super crazy about people covering The Beatles. But, if anyone can do it, I think Wayne Coyne is the man for the job to add his weird twist to things. The list of The Flaming Lips “fwends” alone is pretty impressive.
