The Governors Ball Music Festival 2013 Lineup: Kanye, Pretty Lights, Thievery Corp., the XX and more

In what may be the fastest growing music festival, Governors Ball has unleashed a lineup so massive, it completely dwarfs its previous two years.

In 2011, Gov. Ball was just a one-day event that featured the likes of Girl Talk, Empire of the Sun, Pretty Lights, Big Boi and Mac Miller.

In 2012, they expanded to two days and had Beck, Explosions in the Sky, Modest Mouse, Passion Pit, Kid Cudi, Chromeo and Major Lazer, amongst others.

This year, the festival held on Randall’s Island in New York City will host an array of musicians that will attract all walks of life. Kanye West and Kings of Leon are the first two headliners, with a blacked-out third headliner to be announced at some point in the future. The diversity is key hear, from dancey world music to hardcore punk rock, from indie folk to glitch-hop, just about every way music can be played is going to be represented at the Governor’s Ball.

The event will take place June 7, 8 & 9 on Randall’s Island in New York City. Early bird tickets go on sale this Friday at 12 p.m. EST.
