A quote from a friend who has never seen Thievery Corporation live. If you have seen them live, you know it’s almost insulting to hear that because of the magical performance that Thievery Corporation delivers.
Imagine watching your favorite songs come to life before your eyes. Thievery does just that. Their studio albums are fantastic but they don’t match up to impact of the live show. It’s a huge family of musicians from all over the world joining together to submerge you into a powerful yet peaceful musical experience.
The band works so well as one unit. They don’t spend lots of time announcing who is coming out to sing next or talking between songs. Singers just casually flow on and off stage while the sounds of Thievery carry you through a captivating evening packed with dancing.
The show this past Sunday was my 5th Thievery show and was once again, beyond impressive. Make sure you don’t miss a chance to see this band live. Props to the masterminds behind the group, Eric Hilton and Rob Garza. Their ability to connect eclectic sounds from around the world is unparalleled.
