Wanee 2015 Dates Announced, But Who Will Headline?
Wanee Festival took to Facebook earlier today to announce that the 2015 festival will take place on April 16, 17 and 18, with the “Wanee Happy Hour” on April 15. However, with the Allman Brothers Band playing their final shows at the Beacon in about a month, the question looms: Who will headline the festival?
In the past Widespread Panic, Furthur, Steve Miller Band, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Gov’t Mule, Tedeschi Trucks and many others have played the festival, any of which (aside from Furthur, maybe) seem likely to come back at some point.
Personally, I think given the southern location and fan base, two nights of Widespread Panic and two nights of Gov’t Mule could be a pretty good consolation prize. And who knows? Gregg will probably show up and sit in on a couple numbers. Time will make the specs clear, but for now, there’s only one thing that is important: Wanee 2015 is happening!
