Wilco throws a festival every other year called Solid Sound, and the lineup is always really diverse and awesome. This year will be up to par: the festival boasts an amazing lineup including rock titans like Television and Kurt Vile out, great modern singer/songwriters like Kevin Morby and Andy Shauf, and a slew of cookin’ jazz from Robert Glasper Experiment, Dawn of Midi, and Jeff Parker Trio. Sprinkle in a little afrobeat (Idris Ackamoor and the Pyramids), roots-legends (Dave Alvin and Phil Alvin), and a comedy stage, and you have yourself one amazing festival!
Solid Sound takes place at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art in North Adams, Massachusetts, so you can bank on a thorough ‘arts’ element to the festival, along with great food, a pop-up record shop, on-site screenprinting and more. Tickets are available now for just $159+fees, a really modest price considering the three days of programming and the current festival prices around the country.
