Governors Ball might be 3+ months away, but the organizers are quickly giving people what they want. After announcing a stellar lineup, the festival has announced their daily lineups, as demonstrated above. Daily lineups are nice, but when they announce the schedules we’ll have to argue with our friends over those painstaking decisions of “Bjork or Deadmau5? Florence or Drake?” Until then, we rejoice. #govball #florenceandthemachine #governorsball #music #mymorningjacket #bro
Bonnaroo had a massive announcement with their lineup last night as the festival rolled out names one-by-one. But now, we have the lineup, and WOW is it a doozy. Read through it a couple times for the greatness to truly settle in. Personally, it touches on a lot of names that I’d love to see, and while the headliners aren’t the COOLEST thing in the world, the fact that I could see Punch Brothers, Freddie Gibbs & Madlib, Atomic Bomb! and Robert Plant play alongside My Morning
deadmau5 has unexpectedly released seven new ambient works under the EP title 7. Personally, this is my favorite style of deadmau5 tracks we can get. They are super chill, super dark and piano-driving. Give them a listen for yourself and vibe out for a minute.

Deadmau5 seems to make the news every other week with some crazy tweets. While this week saw the producer taking shots at Justin Beiber, this show was announced right under our Floridian noses. Outside of Miami, Deadmau5 hasn’t been making too many trips down to Florida in the past few years. He hasn’t played Tampa since 2009, a time where those three letters (EDM) were a lot less popular and the crowds were a whole lot smaller. Now, just days before 2014, he comes to Raymond
I don’t know what it is about a trap track that can still garner my attention these days. I honestly can’t put my finger on it. I think it’s a certain sense of minimalism, a good melody and certainly free of cheesy samples and redundancy. Feed Me has proven that the trap fad can still yield some interesting tunes. They don’t all have Juicy J samples or anything that says “ratchet” or “twerk.” Sometimes it’s just some head-bobbin’ bass music to groove to. #edm #tomorrowworld #
Good news for “freaks” everywhere, Kaskade’s new album Atmosphere officially dropped today, and to no surprise it’s already reached #6 on iTunes’ Top Albums. Like his former album Fire & Ice, Ryan Raddon, better known as Kaskade, succeeded in creating an eclectic arrangement of tracks that follow no specific genre guidelines. From big room progressive house, to deep house, to minimal instrumental, Kaskade proves that he really can do it all. “Why Ask Why” features the members

deadmau5 has released 8 tracks in the last week. Not bad for an artist who hates on the whole EDM thing all the time. (But who could blame him?) Some of these aren’t finished, and I’m not exactly sure where they will end up. However, the melodies and quality of sounds he’s given us here are top-notch, and I’d expect nothing less from the dude who made “Strobe” or “Faxing Berlin.” Peep ’em below and share with your friends!
The mau5 will headline both Saturdays of this year’s Ultra Music Festival. After all the controversy last year, the two parties have apparently put their differences aside and reached an agreement. #bassnectar #prettylights #avicii #Florida #datsik #ultramusicfestival #umf #wmc #ultra #Miami #mau5trap #ultramusic #deadmau5 #wintermusicconference
New Year’s Eve. It’s a glorious holiday complete with champagne and kissing, topped by the only countdown you’ve paid attention to since you watched TRL. DubEra.com will be attending both BassLights and Bassnectar’s 360 Extravaganza. Unfortunately, scientists haven’t yet figured out how we can be in two places at one time, but if they had, here’s where my particles would split: Lights All Night @ Fair Park (Dallas, TX) Tickets: http://lightsallnight.ticketfly.com/ String Chee
Personally, I think Tommy Trash is cool because he’s so different from every other progressive house / electro producer / DJ. Not in style of music, necesarily. His tracks fit right in with the other similar DJs who are conquering that type of dancefloor. But his monthly mixes, Australian heritage and personality are different than most other DJs around. I mean, just look at that press shot above. You don’t see Alesso or Hardwell in a two week beard and earth tone tee holding
Dada Life is back with a new music video. Complete with sexy chicks (?), boobs, butts, massive bottles of champagne, roller skates and a seemingly California Beach setting, this video is sure to entertain you while the music keeps you going. As far as electro-house goes, Dada Life are definitely at the top of that game. They always bring high energy performances and their production is top notch. Having a great sense of humor doesn’t hurt them either.
That intro gives me goosebumps! The sound quality is top notch and the set is shot from a variety of angles. I love the new trend in streaming / recording video of full live sets. The Coachella stream was amazing and I heard the Ultra stream was top-notch too (I wouldn’t know… I was too busy enjoying it in person). Anywho, here’s Knife Party’s entire set from the UKF birthday party, ENJOY!

You know the smasher “Raise Your Head” and the ridiculously catchy remix to “Pressure”. What you may not know is just how much Alesso really fits in to a set. The young Swedish producer / DJ blazed through 26 tracks in his near 2 hour set, keeping the energy at Roxy through the roof the entire time. Alesso left nothing behind, playing the
SOOO Deadmau5 released a 12 minute youtube video speaking his mind on Ultra Music Festival and how he is not a big fan of how its run and why he most likely will not be playing this year. He definitely has some valid points. He is a big name in the game right now and it looks like Ultra is going to be missing his presence this year! The lineup is stacked for 2012 regardless but it interesting to hear what he has to say on the topic. The biggest shock is that the account was r
