It’s raining lineups! That time of year has arrived where the lineups start rolling out one after another. It’s a little overwhelming honestly and hard to keep track of them since a lot of the same artists are on each lineup. Apart from Shakey Knees and Ultra, you will get relatively the same music at every festival. You really just have to decide what atmosphere you want. Do you want to be in a big city? Do you want to be on a beach? Do you want to be camping in the desert?
At a festival as large as Firefly, which has grown to 90,000 people this year, and a festival that lasts for 4 days, it is CRUCIAL that you run through the festival with a strong crew. You need friends and supporters to keep you moving through the day and get you hyped on your favorite acts. Because at the end of the day, hype girls and rage partners are important. We found some groups of friends this weekend that epitomizes squad goals; #SquadGoals if you will. What does tha
Firefly has released their schedule for the 2015 festival! Here are some acts that we are excited to see: Thursday: Tycho (Pavilion Stage, 10:45pm) – Couldn’t image a better way to get me in the mood for the weekend at Firefly. Friday: Sylvan Esso (The Backyard Stage, 5:00pm) – Obviously VERY excited for a TWO AND A HALF HOUR SET from Sir Paul McCartney and a late-night set from How To Dress Well, but I had to mention Sylvan Esso. They’ve been making their way through the mu
As it turns out, the word throughout the rumor mill was true, Paul McCartney will be headlining Firefly Music Festival. I’ve already began pinching myself to make sure seeing a Beatle perform at a festival alongside The Killers, Kings of Leon, Snoop Dogg and Modest Mouse is not a fallacy. It will be unreal seeing Paul McCartney in the Woodlands, where the likes of Outkast, Foo Fighters, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Tom Petty have performed before. Tickets are finally going on sa
Firefly has finally released their 2015 line up, and to speculations and leaked line ups (courtesy of @EDMsecrets) the news is true. The Killers and Kings of Leon will be headlining Firefly Music Festival in Dover Delaware, June 18-21. And there is STILL one headline to be announced who is blurred out. Could it be the rumored Sir Paul McCartney? Probably. Joining the headliners will be Snoop Dogg, Morrissey, Foster The People, Zedd, Modest Mouse, Empire of the Sun, Lettuce, T
FireFly is here! As we all pack up the cars and head to Dover tomorrow, its time to start planning your schedule (if you haven’t done so thus far). Yesterday, the official FireFly app was updated with the newest maps, schedules and activities. To help you with the process of picking which acts to see and where, we have supplied a list of the acts were are most excited to see, on each stage! FIREFLY MAIN STAGE: Outkast & The Foo Fighters; sorry, I can’t pick just one. Outkast
Words by Erica Serio I can honestly say I have never in my life heard of Dover, Delaware until I went there two years ago for Firefly Music Festival. However, I couldn’t be more excited to return this year to the Dover International Speedway for another round of Firefly! June 19-22, The Woodlands of Dover will be transformed into a magical array of 7 stages, hammock groves, glowing kite paths, hot air balloons, and did I mention SEVEN stages? Firefly 2014 has a handful of the
Firefly Festival takes place in Dover, Delaware on June 21-23. For those who can’t make it out of the tri-state area, it is a great festival that balances what is going on in popular music today. The lineup reads very much like the other lineups we are seeing from similar festivals this year: Passion Pit, Ellie Goulding, Kendrick Lamar, The Lumineers, etc. Red Hot Chili Peppers continue their appearances in the festival world after a solid showing at Hangout, ‘Roo and Lolla l
