SBTRKT stopped by BBC Radio 1 yesterday for an exclusive live performance on Zane Lowe’s show, and he brought some friends too. Sampha and Ezra (of Vampire Weekend) joined the masked warrior as he gave the live debut of the two songs we’ve heard off the upcoming Wonder Where We Land, “Temporary View” and “New Dorp, New York.” He also gave the world debut of “War Drums,” a bonus track featuring Warpaint, along with the live debut of “Highs & Lows” from his recent instrumental 

Flosstradamus took a turn with their production on this track. If I didn’t know this was Floss I would have never guessed it by the sound. Instead of the usual turn up route they took the turn down and vibe route. I’m a fan. I hope they continue to take this path with their productions. I don’t know what it is about a trap track that can still garner my attention these days. I honestly can’t put my finger on it. I think it’s a certain sense of minimalism, a good melody and certainly free of cheesy samples and redundancy. Feed Me has proven that the trap fad can still yield some interesting tunes.
