As promised, AURA Music & Arts Festival has announced its lineup today. First off, I’d like to give a big shout to the AURA crew for not waiting all day to release something they promised us. I can’t stand when artists and festivals dilly-dally around with their announcements. Instead, the team woke up at the crack of dawn to prepare the announcements!
First day is highlighted with an extended Conspirator session on the Amphitheater stage. Two sets in nearly three hours will be enough to get the party started for the weekend. They’re joined with Break Science, Kung Fu and P-groove to round off the first day. Silent Disco will display Monozygotik, which is the brainchild of twins Sir Charles and Zach Weinert from Greenhouse Lounge.
Day two is looking like a party from start to end. Don’t sleep on Newton Crosby, who will be opening the day. A Stevie Wonder tribute set along with a late Papadosio set are the highlights looking deeper in to that schedule.
Lastly, we have the funky Heavy Pets, Dopapod and Papadosio closing out the festival the following evening. AURA’s appearing to be the land of no-sleep with the stockpiled lineup going strong throughout each day late into the night.
I personally love the two-stage setup, which will allow for a minimal amount of music to be missed and a maximum amount of partying and dancing with your friends.
We are proud to be covering AURA Music & Arts Festival again this year! We will have interviews and artist spotlights on Kung Fu, Yo Mama’s Big Fat Booty Band, Papadosio, Newton Crosby, The Main Squeeze, Conspirator and more before we gear up to get funky in the Suwannee, so be on the lookout for those!
