FESTIVAL PREVIEW: 3 Fresh Features of Hangout

Hangout Music Festival is held on the beautiful shores of Gulf Shores, Alabama (May 16-18, 2014). This will be my fourth year in a row returning to the festival and it continues to raise the bar every year. Amazing artists and ocean views are common for Hangout but this year they are adding some new additions to the festival that have my attention. Here are three fresh features to look forward to for Hangout 2014.

1. CATCH A CHEVY

Walking back to your condo or hotel at Hangout can be slightly stressful with all the non stop good music. This year there will be Chevy cars cruising around offering rides to festival goers.

“Snag a complimentary ride to your next destination in a Catch A Chevy Equinox or Cruze Eco. If you see one that is empty, flag it down! Catch A Chevy vehicles are on the road every day during Hangout from 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.”

2. CHEVROLET BEACH

Ever since I first went to Hangout I’ve always wanted to get in the water and listen to music. I know it’s got to be a legal nightmare but props to Chevy and Hangout for figuring it out for the first time this year! We will see how it goes.

“Whatever you do, don’t miss the Chevrolet Beach! It’s new this year and we’re excited about offering you Gulf access! Stop by for a dip in the Gulf, some quiet time on a lounge chair or a snooze in a hammock — all while being surrounded by palm trees and a warm breeze.”

3. RED BULL SOUND SELECT STAGE

For me personally there is just one act on this stage that makes this stage a unique and fresh feature. Moon Taxi is performing as “People of the Sun” which means they will covering Rage Against the Machine songs. That’s a big task and I’m excited to see how they handle it.
