Paper Diamond is known for making many different kinds of music. Since the project’s inception in January of 2011, Paper Diamond has found himself on a globetrotting, music making escapade, with non-stop shows, festival plays, and around the clock studio sessions.
With one EP and a handful of notable remixes under his belt, Paper Diamond has been secretly amassing over 100 original songs/beats/instrumentals and is currently working with acclaimed artists, singers, rappers, and MCs all over the country. Paper Diamond’s new EP Wavesight is now available free of charge BY CLICKING THIS LINK, via Diplo’s Mad Decent / Jeffrees imprint. The EP features three heavy hitting original tracks that further demonstrate Paper Diamond’s musical versatility.

Here’s a track-by-track review:
1. Turn The Lights Off featuring Nasimiyu: The first song on Paper Diamond’s new EP is at a moombahton tempo while staying true to classic Paper Diamond material. While Nasimiyu’s smooth vocals croon “Yeah we wanna ride with the windows up / cus we don’t care, we don’t give a fuck / yeah we wanna ride with the windows up / yeah we came here just to twist it up”, this could very well be the headiest moombahton song ever created. It is counteracted with a grinding bass line that is sure to keep any dance floor poppin’.
2. Airlift: Round two sees that dubstep with a dose of instrumental hip-hop style we are use to seeing from acts like mim0sa, Pretty Lights, Flosstradamus, Phutureprimitive and of course from Paper Diamond too. With some laser-like synths panning from right to left, you can tell that these tracks were carefully assembled. The track is peppered with hooked that will keep you whistling all day. Just be sure you remember who tattooed those synth lines in your head.
3. Can We Go Up: This is possibly the catchiest original track Paper Diamond has released. While most fans have probably heard this before the official release today, I’m stoked for all the people who haven’t. Paper Diamond’s spicy take on electro is nothing short of a Beatport banger and I really hope this song gets the respect it deserves in a club world that is completely saturated with electro. The sexy vocals, chainsaw bassline, Bloody Beetroots “Warp”-like sounds, and a 4-to-the-floor drum pattern… sounds like DJs have a new track to play during primetime to me!
