Festival season has begun and Snowball is right around the corner! With a new host city and an amazing lineup, this year is sure to bring a unique festival experience. DubEra will be leaving our warm sunny Florida headquarters to make the trip across the country to bring you coverage of this wonderful musical experience.
In past years, Snowball has always provided a very impressive and diverse lineup. This year is no different with Fort Collins, CO-native Pretty Lights making his return to after a break in 2012. STS9 is playing the fest for their first time, and the snowy backdrop will definitely make for a one-of-a-kind Tribe set. Colorado-based Big Gigantic and hip-hopper Kendrick Lamar make up the remaining headliners on the bill, due to a massive increase in popularity over the past year.
Some other must-see artists include the bass-driven trifecta Krewella, who have recently skyrocketted to EDM superstardom. Moving down the lineup, we are highly anticipating Datsik, Grizmatik, Robotic Pirate Monkey, Porter Robinson, Zion I, Michal Menert, Run DMT, Flosstradamus and musical adventure that is FLYING LOTUS will cover all the flavors of electronic music.
Growing up a hip-hop head and seeing the progression of electronic music has left me anticipating the collaboration of a live DJ and a live rapper. I couldn’t be more hyped that Texas’ Crizzly and Lil Flip will be doing a collab set at Snowball this year.
And if you’re all worn-down from the electronic beats and rhythms, get down with the funky Robert Randolph and the Family Band. Or Portugal. The Man, who will bring some psychedelic rock to the swirling, snowy festival
