Leave it to the folks at Wakaruse to continue the diversity of their festival. While a few comments on Facebook were whining about it being “too electronic,” I think they’ve done a great job so far. Dispatch, Umphrey’s McGee, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, Mutemath and Papadosio are all fantastic bands that can keep you busy the entire festival, even if you hate electronic stuff. But let’s be honest, who goes to a festival like Wakarusa in 2013 and hates electronic music?
From the rap-flavored RL Grime, Baauer and Aarabmuzik to the ambience of Emancipator, Shpongle and Karsh Kale, each subgenre of electronic music is spoken for at Waka. I can’t wait to see how they top the first two announcements in a week!
