Hangout Music Festival 2015 set times are out. Everyone will undoubtably have something they love and hate about them. Creating a festival schedule is a tricky thing because you just can’t please everyone. Here are some of our thoughts on the 2015 Schedule.
First of all we hate that they put Umphrey’s and Foo Fighters at the same time. Nothing we can do though. The second thing were not very thrilled about is a lot of the acts were excited to see are playing super early. Xavier Rudd, Toro y Moi, Goldroom, Beats Antique, and St. Lucia all perform and finish before 3pm during the weekend. That just means we will have to get up early and get out on the beach pronto! Foo Fighters kicking off the first night is pretty awesome. Missing Umphrey’s for it isn’t very awesome but either way Foo Fighters kick put on one hell of a show. Skrillex late on Saturday in the tent will be fun to say the least. Here is a daily list of the things that we think are worthy of highlighting:
FRIDAY: – Trampled By Turtles starting the weekend off with some afternoon Bluegrass – Galactic and Macy Gray getting a night slot should be extra funky – Spoon on the main stage – Foo Fighters Closing out the first night with a bang
SATURDAY: – Xavier Rudd, Toro y Moi, and Beats Antique staring the day off back to back to back – Talib Kweli and Odesza back to back. Plus Odesza is on a smaller intimate stage which is cool – Skrillex with a Saturday night set that’s almost 2 hours
SUNDAY: – Goldroom starts the day as the first act – St. Lucia, Griz, TV on the Radio, Foster the People, and My Morning Jacket all play back to back – I finally get to see Beck live after wondering for so long if he deserved best album of the year award
