Magnolia Fest has recently announced a late-night Donna The Buffalo show at 1AM on Saturday night. The show will be a benefit for the family of Michael A, who works as head of production for many of the Suwannee festivals.
Magnolia Fest 2013 will be hosting a benefit show with Donna the Buffalo & Friends during this year’s festival. The benefit show “In Memory of Shelley” will be held in the Music Hall on Saturday, October 19 at 1:00am. Tickets are $10 and will be sold at the door with ALL PROCEEDS going to the Michael A Family Fund. Michael is a longtime member of the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park festival family and is Head of Production at several of the festivals held at the Park. Michael’s wife, Shelley passed away this year just a few days after Springfest. The money raised will go to help Michael take care of his two young children while he continues to work. Also, as part of the fundraising efforts, festival favorite artist Bean Spence will be donating a framed one-of-a-kind Magnolia Fest 2013 painting to be raffled off at the festival. The painting will be on display all weekend. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the Festival Merchandise booth. Winners will be announced on Sunday, October 20. Please join us!
The festival has also released their schedule, exposing highlights of a Thursday night headlining slot from Railroad Earth, late-night Stephen Marley set on Friday, Donna The Buffalo>Willie Nelson & Family>Drive-By Truckers>Donna The Buffalo & Friends late-night on Saturday, and yet another Donna set on Sunday. Sprinkle atop some S.P.O.R.E., Heavy Pets, Keller Williams & the Travelin McCourys, Beebs & Her Money Makers, and you have yourself quite the 4-day Suwannee experience.
Tickets for Magnolia Fest are still on sale for just $170 for a 4-day pass. Single day tickets are on sale as well for either $50 or $70.
