Nirvana’s original contract with Sub Pop. Six hundred bucks well spent—not that we had it at the time.

If you’re interested in grunge, the music industry or Nirvana, today is a really cool day. Sub Pop took to Tumblr to post the original contract signed by Nirvana, in which the band recieved $600 advance, a first-year $12,000 option and a second-year $24,000 option. All, of course, recoupable against royalties. Shout outs to Sub Pop for releasing this rock n roll relic.
