Electric Zoo Cancelled Today Due to Drug-Related Deaths
“The City recommended cancellation and the event promoters have agreed. The Electric Zoo organizers have worked with City officials to reduce health risks at this event, but in view of these occurrences, the safest course is to cancel the remaining day of the event,” says a statement from NYPD officials and NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg. 8 new deadmau5 songs have been released in the last week…
deadmau5 has released 8 tracks in the last week. Not bad for an artist who hates on the whole EDM thing all the time. (But who could blame him?) Some of these aren’t finished, and I’m not exactly sure where they will end up. Kansrocksas Got Cancelled & I’m Going To Vent About It
Let me start this by saying I wasn’t planning on attending this festival, so I’m not actually angry that it was cancelled at all. However I do have my fellow festival-goer’s backs and I have to get some thoughts out. Moonrise was cancelled last week and now Kansrocksas was cancelled. Kanrocksas Comes Out Of Nowhere: Pretty Lights, Tiesto, MGMT, Sublime
Well isn't this stacked up like a triple-bacon-cheeseburger. Kanrocksas began in 2011 with a lineup that included Eminem, Muse, Ellie Goulding, the Black Keys and STS9. In 2012 they did not conduct the Kansas City music festival, but this year they are back with a bang. A strong EDM presence makes up a good portion of the two-day festival. Tiesto, Pretty Lights, A-Trak, Zeds Dead, Baauer, Empire of the Sun will all definitely attract the midwest ravers to the Kansas Speedway.
