Reunion is different because it’s not a festival that will be repeated annually. It’s more of an exclusive pop of series that will be happening from time to time when the organizers feel like it’s time for a little family reunion. Florida locals from around the state will be heading up for some camping and friendly faces. The low key event will be hosted primarily in the Music Hall of the Suwannee. If you aren’t familiar with the venue then that just means it will be inside a
Pensacola local, Stewart Beck, is living the event promoter’s dream. Four years ago he started an event promotion company called Smoking Mad Trees, which booked local artists at venues in the small town of Pensacola, Florida. After a couple years of hard work and networking, Stewart’s company hosted the 1st Annual Pass The Good Festival with artists like RUN DMT and Geri X. Fast forward to 2014, and the 3rd Annual Pass The Good is now booking major acts from across the countr
Zoogma brought their live electronica to the Social in Orlando last night with a set list that spanned their 6 years together. From some of their first material to a cover of Rusko’s “Everyday,” these guys displayed variety for a city that lacks it, musically speaking. Amongst my personal favorites were the newest songs, from their debut LP Anthems 4 Androids. The guitar-shredding solo and prog synth stabs of “Dustbin” translated nicely to the fill up the room. The future fun
We linked up with ZOOGMA at North Coast Music Festival in Chicago to discuss Bar Mitzvahs, Red Rocks and more. Check it out: Tim : This is Tim with Dubera.com and I’m sitting down with Matt from ZOOGMA. Go ahead and introduce yourself and tell us where you’re from and what you play. Matt: I live in Nashville, TN, and I grew up in Memphis, TN. The band started in Oxford, MS and I play drums for ZOOGMA. Tim: Okay so did you go to college at Ole Miss then? Matt: Yes I did. Tim:
As expected, the social media world has erupted with thousands of tweets, messages, arguments, condolences and then some. Words by Timo Mitchel North Coast is this weekend and that means we’re nerding out, drinking beers and arguing over who’s set will reign supreme. Here’s 5 of our most anticipated sets the upcoming Chi-town get-down. src: ourvinyl.com Purity Ring This Canadian duo captures your ear as they blend beauty and beats seamlessly with an originality unlike anything you’ve heard before. The entrancing lyrics of Megan James are matched by the intrinsic sounds Corin Roddick demands from
The boys in Lotus are gettin’ their hip-hop on with their newest release, Monk. The first “three minutes of funkiness” comes via Lotus & Lyrics Born for a roots-inspired rap track. Definitely pretty excited for this release. I love it when artists get outside their comfort zone and do something different.

The boys in Zoogma have finally released their much-anticipated full-length LP, Anthems 4 Androids. The album is free for download, BY CLICKING RIGHT HERE. The 11-track LP clocks in at about an hour, a quality amount of electro-rocking tunage from these Atlanta boys. And what timing, since they were just announced to be on the 5th annual AURA lineup, as well. I haven’t given it a full, proper listen yet so I don’t have many other comments, but I was so excited to share this w
DAMN! AURA Music & Arts Festival brought the heat for their 5th installment of the festival. For its second year in the Suwannee, the festival continues to grow in to a flagship festival for Floridians and beyond. With this year showing the strongest lineup yet, I’m sure AURA will make a buzz all over the country. Papadosio continues to headline the festival with two sets, but this year is joined with Lotus also doing two sets! I don’t think anyone can complain with that. Con
Now this is why I love Zoogma! This song builds with great intensity and emotion, and doesn’t leave out the feel good dancey parts. Around 2:19 you get an upbeat groovy section that you can’t help but to dance around to. The half-time breakdown around 3:11 takes the song home for me. WTF is Zoogma? No one can really define them, but this song gets pretty damn close. All in all it’s a beautiful and heavy track that really gets me excited for what’s to come from this 4-piece Me
2013 will bring some serious questions to the universe. How can we stop global warming? How can we redistribute wealth amongst the world? WTF is a Zoogma? Well I certainly don't know the answer to the first two, but I think I figured the last one out! Zoogma is a 4-piece, multi-talented, instrumental, electronic rock band that keeps a party going. It's way more dance-friendly than most bands you've ever seen and WAY less corny than any DJ that carries the “EDM” tag. They use
The Disco Biscuits festival has unleashed their 2013 lineup and boy is it dope! Mr. Bassnectar returns, Boys Noize debuts, Lotus, Umphreys, Flux Pavilion… this sounds like a party! And if you have ever been to the Indian Lookout Country Club, then you know how big of a party this thing is! The festival falls smack dab in the middle of festival season, and with so many lineups dropped daily, it’s easy to lose track of them all. Just be sure you consider Bisco when making the d

Big Makk – Orlando’s Big Makk is just starting to get out-of-state gigs, but his music has been played all over the world in the past year. Most notably, king Bassnectar consistently drops his remix of Heartbreak’s “E.L.M.O.” to a huge reaction. Krewella – Krewella has just begun to bust into the mainstream, but I only see them getting bigger. The mix of that scenester look and those undeniably sexy front-women is going to propel them to bigger and better things.
Livetronica act, The Malah, have officially announced dates starting tonight in Boulder, CO and ending in late February in Denver, CO. In between Colorado appearances, the talented group will hit most major cities in America, including a four-date Florida run, where we will hopefully catch them. If you’ve never heard of The Malah, it’s about time you open up your eyes, mind and ears to their dreamy, jammy, electronic sound, which draws comparisons to that of Papadosio, Lotus
With Counterpoint just a couple days, we’re breaking down the sets we are most looking forward to. These aren’t the only sets to be stoked on, not by a long shot. This is just some craziness we really can’t wait to see!! Artist: Zoogma Time Slot: Saturday 1:15-2:15pm Why?: This live band’s jamtronica sound is a rare one at this festival. They will be just what you need to get your gears going early on Saturday.

Back with the bag and booty shaking day 3 recap of Camp Bisco. While a little bit of rain may have kept a few campers up (they were up anyways, let’s be honest) the energy certainly didn’t slow one bit with the stellar line up that Saturday held. After watching the first half of the final Biscuits set, we moved to Dillon Francis moombah-madness tent destruction. Homeboy killed it with a mix consisting mostly of trap and moombah. He proved why he’s the frontrunner of the moomb
WTF is Zoogma? If you are googling the answer to that question you obviously don’t know and need to find out. The only way to do that however is to go see Zoogma live. This 4 piece band is vicious with the jamtronica tunes and hip hop styles. Zoogma will be playing Camp Bisco 11 Saturday night in the Label Tent right before Gramatik. Make sure to go check out their set and answer the question for the ages….. WTF is Zoogma?! Zoogma also just dropped a FIRE new mixtape for ever
WTF is Zoogma?!? If you are unaware to the answer of that question find out here. If you already know how awesome Zoogma is then you will be stoked to see they released some late summer tour dates. They will be back in the SouthEast once again and keeping it krunk all throughout Florida. Be sure to catch them at Camp Bisco as well! http://www.facebook.com/zoogmaband?ref=ts #tour #wtfiszoogma #zoogma
So DubEra will be represented at Purple Hatters and we’re damn excited to get in the woods. This weekend we will get to experience a solid bunch of talented acts at the fairest price you could ever ask for in a music festival. The Malah, Greenhouse Lounge, Break Science, Dubconcious and more will all join us in the Suwannee this weekend. We just did an interview and Snowball recap collab with Break Science and now we’re going to give the spotlight to some artists we are looki
